The first shipment of MMPZ products was offloaded from Miory station
Natalia Lepisheva, the leading specialist of logistics department of MMPZ Group, said, “MMPZ plans to use in the future railway transportation for delivery of manufactured products to customers. Essential advantage of railway transport is the possibility regardless of natural conditions to carry out rhythmically fast delivery of goods over long distances.”
In September, the first shipment of products of Miory metal rolling mill – cold-rolled sheet – was offloaded to Ukraine from the Miory railway station. To make the delivery possible, the station’s arrangement of tracks was reconstructed. The head of Miory station Anastasia Druz told about these changes in an interview with a journalist of the newspaper Railroader of Belarus.
Miory is a class 4 station with two receiving and departure tracks, and four loading and unloading tracks. One of them serves as a weighing station. Last year a significant share of the unloading volume was occupied by construction materials, which were used for erection of the Miory rolling mill. The station management plans that in the future it will be replaced by raw materials to be supplied to the new enterprise for production.
